Haven't seen you around in awhile...
I'd definitely be interested in doing the CSP, however, rewards aren't maximized without the Freedom bundled with it, and I don't want to app for two cards. So I guess I will just wait and see if the 140k offer does come back. Honestly, $395 a year equates to only $33 per month. I can cancel my Xbox Live subscription that I never use (and have been paying for about 4 years) and recover $120 a year to go towards the cost of the AF bringing it down to $275, or $22 a month technically. $22 a month to carry around that card seems worth it to me.

LOL ya PSN network just tried to auto bill my CC again the other day one that I no longer have active.. I lost nothing out of it and saved money.. So many ways of saving money. Will be cancelling NetFlix as well as Amazon Prime has video streaming as well and I order 2 day orders several times a month there that is another 100$ there saved a year and the list can continue. One just has to choose what priorities and benefits suits them best as everyones isn't the same as we all should know

Someone direct me on the forums here:
Ritz vs CSP/Freedom Combo. BC there IS a way for point transfers and I'm interested. And yes, OP that 140k is worth being serious about IMO.

Completely different animals. The ritz/marriott combo (which is a combo in my opinion) are loyalty based. They require you be loyal to one hotel chain (at least for a year) to take full advantage.
The CSP/Freedom combo means you can transfer your points wherever you like. If you wanna stay with hyatt, go ahead, with marriott, go ahead, wanna fly with united, go ahead.
UR are usually far more valuable in most cases, however, it depends what you're looking for.
a 70 or 80k marriott card, and a 140k ritz promo, can get you like 99% of the way to 7 nights in a hotel + 50k united miles. but as far as card benefits go, you get what you pay for. The ritz trumps the CSP in just about every category. Just need to be willing to play ball with the marriott family of hotels.
Was really hoping that when I got to work this morning that the 140k offer link worked, but sadly it does not... yet.
On another note:
Would it be better to apply for the card online at their website or over the phone? I'd like to do whichever would generally give me the higher credit limit, if one tends to go higher.
