Ritz Carlton

Hi. Earlier todayI was approved for the Ritz Carlton Visa Signature card. I wanted to know if I ask them to expedite the card will it still come in the fancy packaging or just a standard envelope?

Re: Ritz Carlton

It's always the fancy packaging as far as I can tell. I've recieved 4-5 different cards for replacements and AUs and it has been overnighted in the fancy box each time.

Re: Ritz Carlton

Standard shipping is UPS Overnight Saver - Which means that it will arrive at SOME point in the next day, this is what you will get if you ask for expedited shipping too, with one exception.

Once you see your card show up on your online chase account, that means your card # has been generated and your card should be shipping either that day or the next day. If it looks like it is going to land on a saturday, you need to specifically call up and ask for saturday delivery, that will be UPS Next Day air, and will arrive by either 10AM or noon.

You can make a UPS My Choice account which will notify you whenever you have a shipment headed towards you that was shipped via UPS. The tracking # for your package (in this case your card) will show up there and you can track it and leave delivery instructions.

Current offer is 1 night in a tier 1-4 hotel, which can still be worth substantially more than $395. But 140k points is far more flexible and lets you stretch the value immensely. Not to mention, 140k points is equivalent to 2 nights in a tier 5.

The Ritz card is under the JPMorgan division, so their MO is quite different than Chase.  They will always overnight cards without asking, you will always get US based CR's, and a much better CS experience because they only have 3 CC's under JPM (Ritz, Palladium, and Select) and they are not marketed to the masses like Chase cards.

Up until recently, if you called the CS line, they would answer the phone and address you by name, with your account already pulled up but alas, no more (no more caller ID for them?).  I blame it on Irish80's post and the masses of myFico app's - jk Smiley Very Happy
