Congrats on getting the card! Do us all a favor and let us know how hard or easy it is to redeem the 2% cash back once you have benn through a billing cycle or two.
Congrats on getting the card. SDFCU has a lot of electronic app screens, DocuSign confirmations and such, for their card issuing.
With your recent rebuild activities, and good payment recently, combined with a manual review, I would not be surprised to see others begin to app this card. It may not be Instapproval but for a no-fee 2% Card, worth the effort.
Data,
Congratulations on your approval on the new 2% card. I think SDFCU is an excellent CU. I would not sweat having a high APR. If you get a preapproval for a personal loan, call SDFCU and ask for them to lower the interest rate on the card.
Good luck on your building efforts.

Will do! And thanks to everyone for all of the congrats. The card came in today, so they seem to be pretty fast on processing.
I'm in the middle of applying for this card. I am questioning this DocuSign form that they sent which seems like some sort of credit insurance? Do they require that as well in order to get the card or can I skip it? I want the card but I'm not going to pay for credit insurance I didn't sign up for.

What did they say when you asked them?
@Anonymous wrote:Got an advertisement in the mail yesterday promoting this card. Said 2 % cash back on all purchases, $200 bonus on $3k spend, credit limit from $5k to $100k, and interest rate starting at 10.74%; also no foreign transaction fee or annual fee. Not looking for any additional credit myself, but didn't know if it would be of interest to anyone else.

Since SDFCU posts are scarce on MFF, I'd thought I'd add some clarifying info on this card... For those interested in this card, the cashback is redeemable for a statement credit. You do not have an option on SDFCU's site, or through the Cash Back Mall portal, to transfer the cashback earned to a checking or savings account.
Per SDFCU:Cash back and cash bonus rewards may be redeemed for statement credit toward your Premium Cash Back+ account.

As I understand your post, even if you have an SDFCU checking or savings account, you can't redeem the cash back to it. Is that correct?
