SST re-aging and next steps!!!!

OOOOPPPPPPSSSS!!!!! Sorry

I have an old Providian Visa account that was sold to SST, and this company has two different divisons which BOTH are listed as seperate entries on my cr, plus the Providian.. Well i just noticed on 1 entry they are using a date from 2006 for DOFD, whch im sure is when i paid the account in full. The other entry is correct, somewhere around 2004 as DOFD. I disputed the date with Trans Union this morning and will also dispute with Experian and Equifax. I just want to make sure i am going about this correctly. I know this is a violation if they re-aged the account but want some feedback to make sure disputing the date is the correct 1st step, then if they do not correct file a complaint? Looked through some old reports and they have always used that same date.
