Yep. Decisions are usually final and rarely overturned. Their credit underwriting department is still run by the former HSBC folks, only of course with the Capital One retail partner brand. For any MC or WEMC upgrades, no BK on CRAs or will auto decline.

And those HSBC people are downright nasty.  I've never encountered a pleasant one.  I heard a rumor that Cap1 was looking to spin off the old HSBC accts.

IME, I've never had any issues with them. Then again I only deal directly with only 2 of them since I've had a long standing relationship with the former HSBC lending group but seldomly have to contact them.
