Has barclay and/or sallie mae complimented on their Sallie Mae credit card about whether points can be paid to Navient if your loans are moved there?

Re: Sallie Mae becoming Sallie Mae and Navient

It's only been four hours... maybe nobody who's active at the moment knows (or cares).

The notice I saw about this didn't have any firm details. Navient begins trading May 1 independently. Student loan servicing will not change until fall, so you may have to wait closer to 4 months vs 4 hours for a useful answer on this.

Re: Sallie Mae becoming Sallie Mae and Navient

The press release on the Sallie Mae site included this, "Sallie Mae Bank’s consumer banking business will continue under the Sallie Mae brand."  I would think the co-branded credit card would retain the name of their banking identity(?).  I just hope they don't use this as an opportunity to nerf the card.  Yikes!

I would think if one actually wanted to use these for a student loan and cared enough, they simply could withdraw it to their Upromise account and withdraw it to your bank from there. - Problem solved.
