I have been itching to apply for the Sams CLub MC mostly due to the 5% back on gas... I am due for my 6 month AMEX increase (I know its not a gaurantee but feeling good about it) on Nov 10th. My question is should I wait till after the 10th to app for the Sams MC? Pretty sure I will be approved my TU has 5 pulls. and i have finally got my score to 775 from 613 2 years ago thanks to these boards!!!! Thanks
I don't see any AMEX SP's on my TU. Never hurts to wait on the Sam's if the AMEX 3x CLI is higher on your priority list. Just depends on your ability to keep your finger off the trigger. I recently got my Sam's with 2 TU inquiries and a score a bit lower than yours on TU.
the Sallie Mae is only up to 250 a month for fuel (from what I read) just I myself spend that a month not counting the 300 my wife spends just driving to and from work.... So to maximize rewards the Sams Club MC lets you get more back.
