No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
You might also have luck with CapOne secured cards. But yeah, I get where you're coming from. You just got out of BK and it had a big affect on your life. The thing is, you know why you went into BK to begin with. You need to deal with that part of your life. If you have issues overspending with credit, then maybe you should stick to not really using it. As one person said, put a recurring bill on a card and autopay it every month (DON'T USE CREDIT ONE).
Recovery from BK is a process, and we're here to support you in it. Learning how to responsibly use credit is just a part of that process. Good luck, whichever way you decide.
@Anonymous wrote:HAHA! As the subject says, I'm scared to make purchases on my cards. I've received 3 credit cards since my BK7 was discharged on 1/13/15. I can't believe it! I have yet to make a purchase on any of them. :-/ My First Premiere card already came with a balance or $75 which I swiftly paid down to $20 in attempts to show some CC Utilization. The other two don't have balances on them. I'm not exactly sure why I'm scared to make purchases. It's not like I can't pay them off. I have a good job. At the same time, I don't necessarily need them. My cash on hand is enough to pay for whatever I need. I didn't file my BK7 because of credit cards. Actually, no credit card companies were burned in the process. I've only ever had 3 credit cards prior to my BK7 and I got them in 2004 and they were in collections by 2005. I was a terrible, terrible teenager! They've since fallen off my report and dissapeared. Rebuilding credit is a scary journey. I was excited 3 weeks ago when I got approved for my cards and now I don't even want to use them. Woe is me!
I honestly don't know what the point of me sharing this story is. HAHA. Thanks for reading. Comment as you wish!
I'm scared when I see "FIRST PREMIERE CARD", why this card when you are qualified for another two less or no fee cards. I would suggest close that one, becasue you will have an AF comming besides that $75 one time processing fee, as well as about $5-7 per month. When you have the card more than one year, they will raise your fee more for "rewarding" being a customer for 1+ years. That's all I learn when do research on sub-prime cards. FPB is the worst.

So, what your saying is, OP does not need to use the cards at all, FP and Credit One will use them for OP?
"At First Premier, our customer service is so good, we swipe the card so you don't have to"
If you need a "BAD" card that isn't really that bad get first progress secured. Suprisingly friendly customer service, and other than the fact you have to pay by push payment from your bank/CU bill pay not awful. At least their CSRs speak English (with a pleasant southern twang) and just a straight relatively reasonable AF. No monthly crap, no activation none of that garbage. Just DON'T make a phone payment. If I were choosing between it and Cap1, it would not even be close honestly.
Ah, just use 'em. When I got approved for my Amex BCP, I burned that card up. Especially right before Christmas. I could just sense Amex holding their breath right before I made that first payment...had a lot of weird and varied purchases in a very short amount of time. If I didn't get FR'd for that, I don't think I can. Ha.
Maybe instead of swiping them you could use them for something recurring like netflix or a cell phone bill that way they are being used but you arent actually going out and buying extra stuff.

I'm not sure how to help. Treat your credit cards as cash and you shouldn't have problems. Your creditors aren't going to take adverse action just from use. They'll take adverse action if you partake in risky behavior. If you can clarify your fears we might be able to help address them.
