Question,
When you apply and are approved for the Schwab AMEX Platinum card, are you given a new MR account number OR if you are a current MR member and have accumlated points already, you can convert the current amount of points into the Investors account at 1.25 cpp ?

Your MR balance and "account" stay the same, you can still use them for partner transfers etc, with the Schwab Platinum, you will see a "Invest with Rewards" button in the Membership rewards points box in your on line account (it is under the explore rewards) that "invest" button is where the "conversion" from regular MR points to money in your Schwab fund "happens".
