Schwabs :(

I opened a Schwabs checking accounts yesterday, and they pulled my credit report. After doing some research, it appears that a few people have also experienced this. Can this disputed? I can't believe I just got a hard pull for a checking account. Ughhh!

Nope, sorry but they aren't the only financial institution that inserts a hp for banking.  DCU, NFCU are the two that come to mind

That's true. I am on the phone with their verification department. Maybe I get a nice agent who is willing to remove the inquiry. If not, I'll just accept it.

Not an lot of cc pull eq so thats good news i suppose unless you are going for something like mortgage or auto loan then thats another story. Schwab checking is nice tho don't you get interest and can with draw from any atm on this earth with no fees?
