Re: Score impact of a new Retail CC?

I think the impact would be more dependent on each person and what they currently have reporting on their CRs.

If you have no revolving accounts, you might get a nice score boost from adding a revolving TL to your mix, and so forth.

Re: Score impact of a new Retail CC?

Obviously the degree to which it impacts your average age is another consideration. If you have many accounts the impact should be slight, but if you have a long thin file it might outweigh the credit mix gain. I received what I estimate to be a 5-10 point gain from opening my first and only store card account.
