CA Don't know if you are old enough to remember but Sears was one of the hardest CCs to acquire. I remember my parents having stellar credit and still being denied. I think that may have been when Sears had their own bank. When Citi took over everything changed. I am surprised that Barclays denied you.

Barclays just didn't offer a card to me which doesn't surprise me since I already have a barclay card and they are very picky about 2nd card and my first isn't even 6 months.
Did you ever get the sears card? I am thinking of applying tomorrow once i close on my home. My scores here are - 610, 640, 651
I applied last week, and was offered the barclays Sears MC with a $750 limit. my scores are 607 ex and 658 tu.
