Right before Xmas I kept seeing tons and tons of huge venture approvals and discover cli what happened it seems they both especially the venture have just fallen off the map?
AFAIK, Venture approvals are still around. You may not see a "surge" of them because it's likely the initial group of individuals that benefited from those have no need for any additional ones for the time being. If you look at some of the approvals (at least on MF) there are individuals still getting approved with decnet SLs.
And, while Discover garnered some interesting momentum and attention last year with the frequent CLIs (baller's bandwagon ), there are still some folks who are getting them. Granted, the good ole "frenzy" may not be as abundant as it was last year (i.e. Discover tightened its reins), yet if the profile is there, then a CLI is not out of the question, well...maybe $500 for most.
My Discover CLI's died out once I reached $31.5K credit limit on that card. And my FICO scores have plummeted a bit due to obtaining a lot of recent new cards. And I haven't Purchased gas in a while. Like maybe 20 years now...
It may just be that people either hit their maximum, or decided that they had enough. Or like me, they don't need no stinkin Gas...
Nope, at least not for me. Just received my third 7k increase since January. Like clockwork every 31 days..
care to share why the venture was very sought after? the $400 bonus???
I like my discover it card I had it 75 days and was given a 10k starting limit they bumped me to 14k 25 days ago I hit the button yesterday more for fun and was given the 2 day review and denied today will be interesting next week after 31 days to see if I can get another Ive been using it heavily 80-100 swipes a month 2-2200 spend
The dreaded triple pull is what makes me steer away from the venture well that and the AF
Stay around here long enough and you'll see a lot of trending cards and patterns
Then something new will come along and while the product may still be popular the conversation shifts to the new kid on the block
Example FU will be the hot topic for awhile
Which reminds me I need to research weather there's a redemption threshold cuz I haven't seen or heard talk of that yet.....Hmmmm
Off to research
