That "next year" begins in just a matter of days you know. You might want to get crackin'
Calendar year cleverbutt.
LOL

Wise choice indeed. Also note that Chase tracks overall exposure and cross-relationship (including AU - even though you're not primary). So, if your spouse (or other individual) has recently added you to her new Chase cards and you share the same domicile, this is also on their radar (most folks don't know this). I would keep things on the "downlow" for a while. You mentioned maybe 3 more Chase CCs in 2015? I'd say just shoot for 1, but choose wisely though.
I would be bummed for sure if they did close. Sounds like it's all happening with computer algorithms. I'm not changing my behavior. I think I will be a great customer for them now and in the future. But if they did, I'd be damn happy I already have a couple AMEXs that I give most of my spend on and probs finally open up a account with nfcu
I'm much more motivated to slow down so I won't scare Chase in any way. I've reduced the # of cards I have with them back to two and making sure that any cards I get with them in the future I will have open for the long term. Any accounts I have I don't need/want anymore I will also close like I've done in the past.
Just do as you've always done. You'll be fine. Good luck as you credit grows.

^ This. Don't sweat over it. So many here seem to be afraid of all sorts of things like Chase closures, AmEx FR, etc. These aren't just randomly done.

It is Interesting that Chase had willfully extended more credit towards me than even AMEX who I've had for nearly 7 years.
Creditors don't just hand out stuff in exchange for time. Creditors also have different criteria and are willing to extend different amounts of credit.
Chase has extended me more than AmEx as well. I've been with both for the same amount of time.
