Settled with Chase Credit Card in 2005. Likelihood of getting a new account with them now?

I settled with Chase credit about 3 years ago (for less than the full amount). Since then my credit has improved significantly, and now I have a few good cards, all positive, and my last negative was a 30 day late about 1.5 years ago. My ficos are all around 660+.

Do they tend to reject people who have wronged them in the past?

IMHO, if they settled for less that what you owed them, and they incurred a loss, then I would say your chances are slim with them to get a cc with them. I think they blacklist people where a loss is incurred.

You may want to call them up and see if your account can be re-habbed though. Worth a phone call.
