Shopping cart trick...?

Thats the plan! I have a few I'm working on and waiting to hear back from places.  I am shooting for no HP from here on out.  I am not sure how many CC are advisable/  I currently have 2 with CapOne and now the VS store card.  I don't need any of them, they are only for score boosting.

In my case:

I have 5 Comenity cards. I only 2 of them on a regular basis. The 3 I don't use reported only once since I've got them (since Comenity doesn't generate an invoice when there's a zero balance)

The $0 balances count towards the utilization percentage though.

This is interesting because I paid off one of my Comenity backed cards to a zero balance prior to the statement being issued and they still sent me a statement reporting a zero balance.

I've heard some say Sportsman Guide has worked with the shopping card trick and Total Rewards Visa worked when they entered their information or logged into their accout for the Total Rewards casino card.

Thanks yes Total Rewards Visa is the one I know about however I heard it did result in an inquiry when applied, I am going to do that in another 45 days when I have lower util,. since I am going to Vegas, thanks

I actually have it and it's not trouble at all. LOL  It's neat b/c you get an upgraded status on your player's card from gold to platinum although some complain that the difference isn't much.

But atleast the resort fees are waived on platnium status, thats a good deal in it of itself
