No you shouldn't. The QS gives 1.5% cash back while the Venture One gives only 1.25% back and is only redemable for travel.

I have two Quicksilver Capital One cards. Even if I PC one of them to Venture One, I'll still have a QS card remaining with 1.5% cash back.

Doesn't make a difference. Two 1.5% cash back cards are better than one 1.5% cash back and one 1.25% travel credit.

I don't understand this as I, as you can see in my signature, use my Citi Double Cash Back card for 2% cash back and currently, I use my Discover for 5% cash back when dinning out. I am thinking about PC one of my QS to Venture One to reduce redundancy.

If that's the case then SD them? I don't understand the want of PCing if you're not even gonna use the card(s). Like ALK11 said better to have 2 QS cards than PCing one to an inferior card.

To reduce the redundancy. I'm not the only one collecting cards here, as you can see in my signature. However; I'd like to read those who oppose it. A reminder: I already have a City Double Cash at 2% cash back which trumps both QS.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

There's zero benefit to changing a QS into a VentureOne. The QS is simply a better card. The rewards are higher, and redemption is more flexible.

There'd be possible benefit to PC-ing to a Venture. But you'd have to commit to spending $11,800 per year or more to exceed the QS's rewards value.

If Capital One were to offer product changes to their dining card in the future, I could see that being a reasonable option.

And I don't understand why someone would turn a 1.5% cash back card into a 1.25% travel credit card. I understand not wanting two of the same card, but what's the point of you having the VentureOne? Why do you want that card?

I have a lot of cash back credit cards and Citi Double Cash trumps both the QS with 2% cash back. I'm not the only one collecting cards. It doesn't mean I have them for practical purposes.

This is what I've been saying. I just...don't understand what the OP is trying to accomplish here. If you simply don't like the duplicate QS cards then by all means PC to the V1 but there's no practical reason to do it as some of us have been saying.

Okay, I think the responses have helped me make a decision. I have a lot of cash back credit cards and the Citi Double Cash trumps both QS with 2% cash back. Since I have a numerous number of cash back credit cards in my signature, it appears that I collect them rather than have practical purposes for all those cards, hence, it would make sense to PC on of the QS card to Venture One to diversify my credit card collection. I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONLY COLLECTING CARDS for the SAKE OF COLLECTING.

However, thanks for expressing your opinions!

To diversify my credit card collection. As you can see in my signature, I have numerous redundant cash back credit cards and Citi Double Cash already trumps both QS at 2%, so the QS is more of a collection than having any practical purposes. However, I wanted to view people's opinion before taking action. Thanks for all your opinioin!

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

Just combine both cards into one card with a bigger limit.

No.  Don't product change from QS to Venture.  That would mean you lose out on 400 dollar sign-up bonus.  Also 400 dollar sign up bonus would cover many years of 59 dollar annual fees.

If you are in the Garden since 2015 why don't you apply for Venture and get the sign up bonus.  It is 400 dollars. If you cant meet the spend the Venture One has 200 signup bonus with 1000 spend over 3 months.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

I PCed QS to venture one, hope it will turn in to a World MasterCard.
It did not.
I will pc it back to QS when i feel like it.
I make NO purchase on either card, only occasional BT, so reward percentage means nothing to me.
