A very quick question.
Presently in the garden till 2/1/2015. Planning to make a few applications (maybe around 4) in Feb 2015.
Was new to this and without knowing made quite a few inquiries (about 9) this year. I am stuck with the doubt of whether I should apply for all the 4 credit cards on a single day or should I apply one get an answer completely, then start the next. I understand that if I make all 4 applications at once, then the other 3 centers may not see these credit inquiries right away.
Do you have any thoughts?

That is flat out wrong. The second you app it updates to your credit report. You can app for all cards the same day or do them one at a time. The benefit of the same day is then all your inqs will age together. Sometimes if I am going for a very improtant card to me I will go through all the process before apping for something else. I do this in case the lender pulls another report during the app process. Other than that I do them all the same day.
It depends on cards. If they pull from different credit bureaus and only pull one credit report at the most the fourth will see only one other inquiry. But if you apply for cards like Cap1 they pull all three or Chase who likes to pull two they would see more. If you apply for Barclay they sometimes get nervous when they see a lot of new apps and could deny and even close a new card. It also depends how thick and age of your credit file. So it's always YMMV

This raises a good point about planning out the order of your apps based on which report a lender usually pulls and which lenders are more inq sensitive.
Hi red259, I thought it would take time for the inquiries to show up, anyway thanks for the correction.
Hi coldnmn, thank you for your thoughts
# of recent inquiries would show up righ away but # of recently opened accounts won't show up until they get reported by the individual lender.
When I apped in December 2013 I had only one revolving T..$600 FIRST PREMIER L. I apped for 5 cards and was approved for six all on the same weekend. App spree is the only way I would ever app.
To date, no issue with CLD or cancelled accounts.
Thank you so much, Fico2go. This is what I am facing, I got a Chase Freedom last month and I dont see it anywhere in the report, so it looks like its gonna take a while to get reported.
I think I will also go with what you say. I will open up all my required accounts on the same day.

I would do it all in one sitting. If possible in the same hour. ![]()
Some lenders like BOA reported my TL one day after approval.

What if you hit enter on two different computers at the same time?
