No credit card required

I closed on a house about 3 weeks ago. On that same day, I applied for a Discover IT card and an Amex Blue Cash Everyday. Discover approved for 11k and Amex for 2k. The cards and the mortgage have now reported to all 3 bureaus and my score has improved slightly. FICO 8 is Equifax 728, TransUnion 734, and Experian 702. I currently have a Synchrony Amazon store card and am an AU on my mother's Chase account and Macy's account as well.
Should I just go for another credit card (or two?) now so that my AAoA is only dragged down the one time? I don't anticipate utilizing my credit again until June of 2019 when my car lease is up. If I remember correctly, five cards are the ideal amount to have to maximize the positive impact on credit score. Please feel free to let me know if there's any truth to that!
Thank you in advance!
Congrats on closing on your home. As long it is a need and not a want, I'd personally go for it if I were in your shoes. Your scores are good enough to get you approved. What cards are you looking at if you don't mind me asking?
3 cards are what are needed for 'maximum' scoring.
Going for another is up to you, but I wouldn't go for more than one right now if any
I would not do it, specially if you'll need your scores for 2019.
You're fine with what you have now to bring your scors higher. Just continue to be responsible with them.
I say, no need.
If 3 is the ideal amount to maximize scores then I probably should apply for one more. I don't think the AU cards would be considered as "mine" so one more national card is probably a good idea. Then all of these accounts can age together.
I have no idea what cards I should be looking at. I'm open to suggestions!
Groceries, definitely. I live very close to my job so I only fill my tank every other week or so. Sadly, I haven't gone on a vacation in a few years so not travel!
BCP or BCE are great for groceries.
I spent over $6k a year, so with the AF, i still make a lot of cash back. Any spend less then $6k in a year will give you 6% cash back.
Could you tell me what those acronyms mean? Thank you!
