Re: Should I ask for a credit line increase

The three bad accounts each went 120+ past due before I paid them off. All paid in April 2007. No collections, or public records.

I think you should try Hooters. They pulled TU in Arizona, and I got approved for a $5000 CL, 17% interest rate and no AF.
pattycake's FICOs: 6/2/10 - TU: 708; EX: ???; EQ: 749

Re: Should I ask for a credit line increase

I got three clis with orchard without asking for them.  I closed them because they wouldn't remove AF AFTER 3 YEARS.  They did serve their purpose however.  they give clis at their own pace.
Cap One has been very good to me in rebuilding.  Started at 300. secured w af .  now at 4100. no fees.
oops--just saw your cap one collection from "99.  any chance of fixing this?

Re: Should I ask for a credit line increase

Nothing more than I have done. They say they will change the description if I pay the difference between the settlement and what the total was. I would have been happy to pay the difference if they would remove the late marks, but they will not budge.

This brings up a couple questions while I'm at it. Should I do just that? Pay the difference? As I understand the notes are meaningless, and that would loose any leverage I may have to remove the things that DO count, the late payments. Any thoughts? Also, would it be worse to have the TL completely since it is the oldest CC account?

Thanks

Re: Should I ask for a credit line increase

TBR  i had ORCHARD CARD for almost 2 years with $500 CL ,and PIF always without any increased until now .
Anyway  i call them last week to see if i am qualify to get increased, but they told me that they will pull a soft inq from EQUIFAX credit report ,and i refused to do that .
So why do not you call this number 1800 395-6090 ,and see what's your chances .
Good luck to you . Smiley Happy

Why did you refuse a soft inquiry?  Soft inquiries don't affect your score.
