Should I request a cli after 4 payments from Amazon. I have read that people have had luck after 4 payments. My husband has a card and wants to know what the best option would be, to wait for auto increase or ask for one. If he asks for a cli will it be a hard pull ? How often can you get a increase ?

It is typically a SP, accounts generally become eligible every four statement periods until/if reach a maximum exposure across all GE accounts...would go ahead and ask after the fourth statement cuts, unless wants to wait (an indefinite time period) for an auto increase.
I think they are automatic every 3-4 months.
Here is my scenario; Opened account at end of Sept. this year. Requested an increase the week before Black Friday and was denied (no hard pull).
Noticed I had received an increase of $300 after/when my third statement posted in Dec.
Hope this helps
CLI are not typically auto every 3-4 months with GECRB, YMMV.
I opened my Amazon account on 8/25/11 and tried for a CLI online and was instantly denied so I'm not sure if it as after 4 months from account opening or 6 months. When I opened my Gap VISA account I had the same experience but since then my limit has more than doubled....and I hardly use it
Thank you guys for the info I will pass it on.
I would try every 4 months. YMMV. Make sure your recent INQ's are low and not alot ofnex accts.
He only has 1 installment loan from 7/ 2007 and still paying on. 1 capitalone less than a year old and the Amazon store card 4 or 5 months old.
I guess the site was closed when we tried to get a cli but it may be open now IM not sure.
