Re: Should I ask or wait for a cli with Amazon store card?

I would make 4 payments... then click the CLI, if it says no, wait another payment and try again...

Won't hurt you to keep trying.

Also, Once you hit that luv button on the 4th statement you have to wait 4 more months to do it again.

That only applies if you get an increase... if you hit it and it denies, you can keep clicking every month until gives.

That's actually not true. I've done that and they send me the exact same score and reasons and date pulled every time for the initial 4th statement request.

Wow a lot of different thoughts and experiences about GE CLI. I guess its truly YMMV. I just got my Amazon card so I gotta wait and see the outcome. I hope I get a CLI though

Re: Should I ask or wait for a cli with Amazon store card?

With Chevron and Dillards Amex I have been declined and states not enough time with current CL or something rather... wait until next statement and hit it and get it.

The only time I have not been able to hit it again before the 4 months is if I was granted CLI in that period of time.

I believe same with Citi and Amex... if to early you can hit it again next month.

Should  I request a cli after 4 payments from Amazon. I have read that people have had luck after 4 payments. My husband has a card and wants to know what the best  option would be, to wait for auto increase or ask for one. If he asks for a cli will it be a hard pull ? How often can you get a increase ?

I hope you get your increase...I got my Amazon card in November of last year, and have not received an auto CLI since I got it; nor have I received an increase when I hit the luv button...go figure.  Smiley Sad

Oh you can still hit it, but you'll get the same info from last denial. Trust me i've tried too many times!

Re: Should I ask or wait for a cli with Amazon store card?

Update...... It says denied. This is right after after 4th payment .  If anything changes I will let you know. He was approved for 800.00 the price of his purchase but he only makes the minimum payment so maybe that's why he was denied.

Creditaddict is CORRECT if denied it is possible to wait a month hit it and get it and like most things credit related it's YMMV.

That YOU tried many times and it didn't go through, doesn't necessarily confirm it's a GE policy.

In any case, ever since the name change from GEMB to GECRB, have been getting DENIED CLI, likely to be just a coincidence but seems a little odd.

Went from 400 to almost 3k over several years and now it won't budge...don't think I hit exposure limit across all GE product since am still getting increases on Walmart Discover. Average FICOS 780, less than 2% UTI, thick file.
