Should I be missing Amex Cards?

It is been couple of weeks since Amex wanted to FR and I asked them to cancel all my cards with Amex. Looking back I should have listend to every one advice and stay away from Amex and their CLI / App buttons as it might have created a reason for FR.

Though I am feeling bad for my self for what happend, now I am using Visa/MC and seems like I am much more relaxed and at comfort. I dont have the tension like before and taking life lot easier. May be one day, some day in the distant future I might try to get an Amex card again into my life, for now I am a happy camper and life is moving on.

lol, I would think that for you, missing AmEx would be like missing the jackhammer that drops on your head every hour, on the hour.

Sometimes you just have to acknowledge that some things were not meant to be.

Amex has been total distraction in my life and I was obsessed and determine to get it despite the advice from every one. We all learn in life. I am so much at peace now. I dont some one who treats and looks at me with suspesion every turn in life. I am focusing in expanding my business and preparing to launch a New / Hot / State of the software product for Data Storage industry.  Who knows one of the major players buy out my company in the next year or two for couple of hundred million $'s and I can retire.

Then you can buy Amex and replace the wallpapers in your house with glued-on Amex cards. With running serial numbers, of course.

Keep in mind that if you decide to go back with AMEX, they will do a pre-FR before you are oficially approved. They will ask to see your last years tax return and a letter from a CPA stating your monthly income.

I agree with Haulingthescoreup...lol...love the way she put it. You are so much better off not having to constantly worry about those cards.

That is exactly, I have avoided and I dont need to put up with all this shanigan for a stupid charge card. I have much better cards with $10K - $25K in CL and don't have to worry about the Amex tantrums and fits. I am telling my self, there is life out side Amex. I always PIF every month and carry very little balance on my cards. There are plenty of other companies who would love to have my business.

Re: Should I be missing Amex Cards?

AMEX was my first real CC after BoA's unsecured. I always had a Green and never thought of switching to a Blue.

Today my BoA got a CLI of $1000 and my DISCOVER has been doubled up to a total of $4500.

With this, I'm leaving my AMEX card at home and will only use it to pay one particular household bill. No, I don't think I will miss it.

Re: Should I be missing Amex Cards?

Please, stay far FAR away. They are currently chasing my balance down. I'm just waiting for them to close my account already. My life will probably be a lot less stressful without CRAPMEX.
