I just received a letter for AMEX Blue Cash Everyday. It's 12.99 APR, lower than my BoA card (14.99) but I got the Quicksilver last month. Seems like similar rewards as BoA. I bank with BoA and Cap One so I got their cards and Quicksilver had no foreign fees. I don't really know much about AMEX, Discover, etc.

Amex is a good company. But if you don't know much about them, do your research and see if their cards fits your spending habits.

Which BofA card do you have? Cash Rewards? The Blue Cash Everyday has (3% Cash Back at U.S. supermarkets, up to $6,000 per year in purchases (then 1%); 2% cash back at U.S. gas stations; 2% Cash Back at select U.S. department stores; and 1% Cash Back on other purchases). The highlighted text is the diference between the Cash Rewards and Blue Cash. I'm not sure if it applies to the Blue Cash but with my Blue Cash Preferred I can only redeem rewards in $25 increments. So, back to your question, if you have the Cash Rewards and spend more than $500 every month in groceries and want 2% back at select department stores, then go for it.

the BCE doesn't give 2% at department stores but the BCP does
Um, yes it does! BCP gives 3% there.

Here is list of department store & etc. for rewards.
When it says "to earn additional rewards", I'm assuming it's the % cashbacks?

Yes, if you purchase from one of those stores, you will get 2% or 3% for BCE/BCP
Unlike the list of grocery or gas stores, which are examples, if it isn't on this list, you will not get the enhanced rewards.
