Should I press on or wait for deceased status to clear?

As I'm anxiously awaiting my new birth I've been reading and now wondering ...

I don't think my scores are going to be very good WHEN I can get them (listed as deceased) because I do have a few things that I think will interfer.  BUT ...

I'm reading about all this credit card stuff and I only have ...
1 - BP gas card for at least 10 years in good standing, still open, CL I think is 500.00 but I never use it because the only BP around here has sky high gas prices.  I guess I could start using it ... a quarter of  a tank a month Smiley Happy
2 - Target Visa that started at a 300.00 limit guessing around 5 years ago that is now CL of 5000.00 that I use and usually PIF monthly but not always.

According to what I'm reading I should have at least 4 CC's ... should I try and get one now while being deceased or just wait this thing out and see what happens and then get new cards?  My thinking is while I'm dead ... take advantage :0

Re: Should I press on or wait for deceased status to clear?

your saying your credit report says your dead?
and you want to know rather to apply for credit now or wait until it doesn't show you dead on credit report?

If your credit report says your dead, it should be blocked from ANY new credit, since there would be no one responsible for paying.

Re: Should I press on or wait for deceased status to clear?

Yes I'm deceased in the wonderful world of credit!

I agree but saw on here that people with 0 credit or no credit can still apply and work with some creditor's .. I'm obviously alive.

While I was showing deceased I got my increase to 5000.00 on my Target Visa.

So who knows, was just a question ...

Isn't your BP Visa 5% back? That is usually enough to make it cheaper than paying with cash at a station that's a few cents cheaper.

I never really figured it out but the difference isn't just a few cents.  Around the corner from my house is it's in the 3.9__'s but the BP is 4.16 a gallon!  I'll look into that, thanks.
