I applied for an Amazon Visa with Chase last week and received a denial letter over the weekend. The only reason for the denial was past delinquency. The last time I was ever late on an account was over 4 years ago. I'm just a little nervous to try for a recon because I have tried in the past with no luck. Has anyone had success with a chase recon and this reason for denial?
No reason to be nervous. Worst thing they can say is no.
Chase analysts sound undertanding and nice, won't bite. Even if they try to, science not yet found a way to bite on phone...
In the worst case they will give you some good advice.
good luck for your recon.
LOL! It's true that Chase analysts don't bit. I bit the bullet and tried for the recon. IT WORKED!!! I was approved for $3,000!!! It's my highest limit ever as I am a rebuilder. Thanks for the words of encouragement because I was too chicken to call in the first place.
Congrats!

Congrats. I know what you mean, yes it can be a bit embarrassing/painful at times to hear a NO live or people asking questions about things you want to forget.
I also joined this site this year (actually much later than you), and I seriously wish I knew more when I went on a app spree last year trying to apply barclays, chase, citi etc etc with just 1 month of credit history. If I knew about this forum, I would have avoided atleast 10 inquires (in total on all 3 CB).
