Re: Should I try to get a credit limit increase on initial limit?

Alright well then i think you have a shot and if you do get declined just take it in stride. Credit is a triathlon not a sprint. I know for me personally i started with a $500 limit from my bank and worked my way up. I didnt get my larger limits (4k & 5k) till 4yrs of building credit. However student loans helped me start building too. XD

Re: Should I try to get a credit limit increase on initial limit?

I do. But since I already got my foot in the door with chase I suppose it would be easier that way and I could do the amex sometime next year.

I also just checked my experian report and that's what chase pulled. Only the chase report is recent as of 2 years but I have 3 others that are supposed to expire as of the beginning of this month...  Odd

Anyone with decent rewards and a prime card will do. Bills gas and car expenses..
