Sitting On Ready for spree part 2

Happy Greetings MyFico Members Smiley Happy

I only joined MyFico in December but this forum has been a pure joy to participate in and share experiences while drawing inspiration with golden assistance, encouraging rock solid credit responsibilty. For that i'm grateful beyond words.

The Garden Club is an engenius idea and a group i may join on completion of my goals.

Thanks to these quality membership discussions/facts/suggestions/insights etc. here my entry into laying groundwork to meet an industry acceptable credit record is been well worth it.

To the point. Another spree is coming (2nd one), but i'm laying low since December no matter the enthusiasm to app to hopefully better position things for other cards that i feel is vital in finally rounding out my expectations for the rest of 2014 in 2015 (maybe).

With this short starting revolving history ATM the only concern i have (Longest 1.4 yrs/6 months), AAoA there's your reason i refuse to jump app for new cards yet despite even when the chances look promising.

On the better front, and courtesy of some lucky SP cards, i do have some immediately available Inquiries to use. These are what's listed currently.

Equifax-4
Experian -3
TransUnion-4

My overall utility is <20% approximately 19%.
Highest single card utility is 70% (decreasing)

Even at low AAoA i managed to recently complete CLI's on 2 cards, Citi proving the most aggressive x3 with Capital One & Discover the holdouts so far. At the end of February, maybe sooner i intend to go the EO route and let them HP when i've declined them so far.

With those stats and at all possible i really have a strong interest to app Sallie Mae for the 5% of course, Bank of America for Rewards Card, and Chase followed by Home Depot (Citi), Lowes (gecrb), and fnbo Dodge Visa since my Durango is a proven product in comparison to money eating Ford's & GM's that were consistent disappointments.

I would love nothing better then at some point reel in a very first Amex BCE for the obvious reasons Smiley Happy

Scores
TU-665
EX-715
EQ-649 (Dec.13)

I've zeroed out all but 1 retail out of (6) and 2 out of (5) current primes.

I'm content to sit out apping till March 1st to make my move but when the CRA'S update again next week i'm just dying to bring on board a few newbies, but which one's and when.

I space my apps out and so far with satisfaction, but there's many of you who seem to have a really good finger on the pulse of the big lenders and which way they tend to lean.

Thanks All

If you would wait untill all your scores were in the 700 club you would get higher CL's and better APR's !!! Just my 2 cents ... Good luck in what ever you doSmiley Happy

My thoughts exactly, thanks.

Thinkin' Just read, don't app, read, don't app, wait on score updates. Just read, post, again, don't app.

I try to look at the potential of a wasted HP almost like misplacing your billfold. Working so far Smiley Happy

Re: Sitting On Ready for spree part 2

Freeze all of your CRs and you not only rest easier due to decreased risk from ID theft but you also can't app for anything. : )

Re: Sitting On Ready for spree part 2

Ok good folks, began my spree part 2 today. It's a real balancing this go 'round due to recent new TL's - Inq's - AAoA etc. It's a major undertaking because unlike Autumn's series of constant successes, this one requires very surgical, strategic approaches, timing, and as always, a little Magic! Smiley Happy

Exercising a lot of Xtreme care this time so as not to overestimate or jeopardize matters given CR details are now openly soft at this point in time.

With the relatively new TL's up to now (months), it's more important then ever to be pinpoint precise in these "part 2" selections.

The biggest effort in this is going to be striking just the right balance between negotiating CLI's (low risk) vs. brand new prime (high risk). It's an ambition IMHO well worth the effort so that most of the new prime lenders timelines can advance going forward together and not scattered all over the board.

With that being said, I'll have to shortly open another new topic with my "part 2" 1st result (Approval!) so far just today with another prime!

It's not recommended nor do i encourage to imitate this high wire walk for the obvious reasons.

But it is exciting so far starting out. Smiley Happy

Here we go again. Wish Me Luck!
