Sneaky chase reporting after moving limits

I reduce the limit on my Amazon Card to 500 bucks and moved it over to freedom. I immediately got an alert of the credit limit decrease. Several weeks have gone by, and the freedom has not reported its increase. It's not a big deal to me but I can see it being a bummer for someone with a lot less available credit where it could shift the whole polarity of utilization for a month if they're trying to apply for something in that time frame.

Re: Sneaky chase reporting after moving limits

Not really sneaky. This has happened to me a couple times now whenever I close a card and move the limit over. Closed shows as $500 and updates immediately but the card left open doesnt report the new limit until statement closes.

But if you didnt close the $500 card and they immediately reported it that way then thats a little different.

probably can force a statement cut if it is already reporting by paying in full as Chase reports usually when this happens and might show the new CL?

Re: Sneaky chase reporting after moving limits

No I'm leaving both accounts open until I get an Amazon store card. I will continue to enjoy my 3% off and then it's another card that has drug store 2% which is nice because plenti+ibotta actually is worth it. I really wish they would sell Arco gift cards because that's how I work my magic in supermarkets.

My freedom has a large balance and the Amazon a zero. Freedom cut 21st, amazon 15th
