So I requested a CLI for Amex

Just got my blue cash card in the mail, activated it online, and requested a CLI to 15 (credit limit was only 2 when I applied for it originally) on 60 / year salary.

Got the 7 - 10 days response, is that a no?

if you haven't had the card for 30 days def, if you have then sorry it always has been for me.

fyi. there is a new amex cli policy. basicly the best i could gather is that you can no longer ask for a cli every 30 days. as of 11/1/07 you can request 1 cli 30 days after obtaining your card, then a 6 month clock starts ticking and you have to wait the entire 6 months before you can request another cli.

Is there something on the amex site regarding this policy?

I've never heard about it officially.. only many times unoffically.

it was the reason given me on the decline letter i rcvd this week for the cli i rqstd on 12/8. as for being able to link to it on thier site, don't know. you can always call a csr.

sorry the policy went into effect on 12/1, not 11/1. at least that's what the csr said when i tried to phone recon the cli after hitting the luv button. i even remarked about how it was only a matter of days, still no go.
