A few days ago I was considering doing a PC from goRewards Visa to the Signature Flagship with a CLI request. When I found out that would trigger a HP, I decided to just app for the Signature Flagship and keep the goRewards as well. Flagship app was approved with an initial CL of $5K. I asked for a CLI to $15K, they increased it to $7K.
After not getting the $15K, I called to see if they could transfer $8K from my goRewards limit to the Flagship, bringing it up to $15K and they said as of about a month ago, they no longer do that. I would have to request a CLD on the gorewards, then do another request for CLI on the flagship, but they can't guarantee that it will be approved. So I'm just keeping the limits as they are. I'm pissed because I want to start using the Flagship for all bills, purchases, etc. but with such a low credit limit, it's gonna screw up my utilization until I pay off (which I usually PIF before the statement cuts save for a small balance). I've only had the goRewards Visa since the end of June and I've already run $8K through it, and it's PIF.
sorry to hear that wow

Sorry to hear but it sounds like you got caught in the middle as they revised their underwriting/risk policies. Often times it's either done to prevent further cardholder abuse or due to portfolio losses.
**Update**
Just got a call from a NFCU supervisor who informed me that they would go ahead and make the CL switch for me. She mentioned that the rules have changed, but after reviewing my account they decided to allow this exception.

Sorry to hear that. The funny thing is, I opened up my NFCU account via my grandmother who was a civilian employee of the Dept of Defense when I was 19. I used the account a little bit, but then started using banks instead. I completely forgot I even had a NFCU membership until I started reading myfico boards and reading all the good stuff on here. I contacted them and asked them if I could reopen the account, they informed me that it had been open all those years (just inactive). I'm so glad I forgot about the account years ago because I know I would have screwed them over during my financially troubled years.
