Maybe ..Maybe not. Citi tends to uses lousy excuses for their denials. If it is a must have card for you then you can chance it...

I really hope it doesn't. Normally you shouldn't have to worry about that issue. I've noticed overtime from analyzing my own AAs is that there's some trigger like a lot of inquiries in a really short time period like a month that could trigger such a thing or if you're getting a lot of exposure from the same lender really quickly in the same month or something like that. There was someone here that had their limits slashed by Chase mainly because of how many auto loan inquiries they had acquired.
