So when does the AU issue with the bureaus start?

I thought that it was September when AU's would be dropped from the person's card they were attached to?  It that true?  Who will be the first CRA doing it?

I thought the new scoring system would roll out in Sept but not sure when it will be implemented across the board.

I don't know for sure, but I heard that EX would be first in September followed by TU and EQ next year.

Re: So when does the AU issue with the bureaus start?

All,

I believe it is EX.... I added my roomie as an AU with one of my new trade lines and as of yesterday, it did not have an impact...as a matter of fact he lost a few points because there where the TL posted.

I had an AU on my report, and as of yesterday, there was no impact, but two of my scores increased and TU stayed the same.

Re: So when does the AU issue with the bureaus start?

So, Brammy, is it known how much of a drop an AU could expect to see?  I have my own CC's and individual credit and only an AU on 2 of DH's cards.  Will this mean that I need to get more credit in my own name to balance out credit history?

If the AU accounts are your oldest accounts there's nothing to be done to lengthen your history.  If its a utilization factor, say removing those card would drastically increase your utilization then paying down balances will reverse the effect.  I'm not ne for opening new credit that you don't need and pumping up FICOs is really not a good reason unless you have a thin credit file.
