Soft Pull on EX from Citi Question

Hello all.. I have been going thru various posts for a few months now and finally decided to post.

Citi softed EX back in May and since then I have been getting at least 1 teaser in the mail per month. Question is, If I so decided to apply, does that soft on EX indicate that they will pull EX only? Or might they switcharoo on me?

My Location is Michigan if that helps..

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum! They might but they might not. I'd suggest looking at whogavemecredit.com

Good luck if you decide to app.

Re: Soft Pull on EX from Citi Question

I just got my first invite that isn't a credit one/first financial, the Citi Diamond Preferred. I highly doubt I can get approved for it though since I just got 6 cards recently lol.

6 Cards is a good amount of new accounts. Did they all pull the same CRB? If the inq's are spread around and the new accounts havent posted yet to your CR, then there may be a chance. I would wait though.

Re: Soft Pull on EX from Citi Question

I apped for all my cards on the 14-16th. They all updated, minus the freedom which was a bit later. I'd have to see where my inq's are at atm. I know for sure EX has 16 lol. I think EQ/TU might have 8-9 each.

I'm guessing you may want to garden for a bit and let those inq's age off or jsut age in general. Even though they are on your CR for 2 years, they only count against your FICO for 1 year.
