Notfancy. Did you request it online or over the phone ?
Hello. I requested it online, but I was sent a message to call in, and when I called, they processed it for me. I went from $300 to $2000 and he told me to call back in 2-3 months to try for another increase. Actually, your post made me realize it's been at least that long, so I sent another secure message and will wait and see what response I get.

Ok Notfancy keep us updated
Will do.
Macy' claims they may do a hard pull, but based on my experience and other users on this site, no one has ever seen a CLI that resulted in a hard pull. Also, Macy's considers requested CLIs every three months.
Also, in my research on this site, I recall people saying they got bigger increases by going to the Macy's website and using their chat window. All of my requests in the past have been on the phone, except the last one. All my phone requests have been increases around $500 to $750. When I used the chat feature for the last request, I requested, and they granted, a $2,000 increase. So it may behoove you to use the chat window. Of course the fact that I have charged about $10,000 on my card and been an elite customer for the last three years may have helped as well.
I decided to call them and see what I could do and they declined me. They wanted to try and push me into opening up a major purchase line, which I don't want. They said I don't use enough of the limit that I have to justify a higher trade line.

I have an AMEX Blue, Navy federal, Wells Fargo, Bank Of America, Discover It, Kay's , Best Buy, Macys. And I was wondering if I can get a CLI with any of these cards with a soft pull? I already did navy federal and I got an instant offer. I was wondering if the same will happen with my other cards.
Navy Federal, if you have had at least 3 months you can request a CLI to $25k online and if it instantly counters that is a sp.
Wells Fargo you can call and ask if you are eligible for a sp cli
Kays you have to go into store and it's a hp usually.
best buy is usually hp on TU these days but you can request online and put in for $20k or whatever and within a couple hours if during business hours you can log in and see the new cl (they counter if not full amount)
Did you call and ask Macys if CLI would be a hard or soft pull?

they will always tell you hp.... Just say okay and proceed, it uses what is in the system and 97% does not need to pull credit.
I have NEVER seen a hp after approval over 5 different macys accounts and CLI's to over $10k and multiple furniture line openings... always uses credit on file but they always say hp.
