Span between CC apps

My DS (Dear Sister) got approved online for a Target Red card. She also got a pre-approval for a gas card in the mail. If she applies for the gas card, will she be hit with 2 inquires? If so, how long should DS wait between apps.

If she applies for the gas card she will incur an inquiry (or more IF they pull more than one report) for that too. Credit cards are not like mortgages or car shopping.  You get hit for an inquiry every time you apply. Depending on her entire credit history it may make an impact on her score, or it may not. It's not really possible to tell whether applying now or later would make a difference.  If she has a lot of inquiries in the last 12 months, I would not apply for anything else.
