Hey, I was wondering how common it was to be given a starting CL of 500 and what are the best strategies to get that CL to go up.
Currently I have these low limit cards:
Cap 1 Journey - 600
Cap 1 QuicksilverOne - 600
Uber Visa - 500
Possibly what is the best way to get that Quicksilver upgarded, if anyone has had a QS 1 before.
It’s quite common if one has a short or bad history. You have a good lineup, but the Cap One cards most likely won’t grow much for you. They will be very helpful in building your history so you can get BETTER cards with higher SLs.
Ultimately, growing cards (and getting high SLs to begin with) requires good history and appropriate income.
Good luck!

Hi and welcome to MyFICO
Since you’re starting out in toy limit land, it is going to be difficult to get any traction with those cards.
You haven't provided any DPs, so I’m going to give you some suggestions on things to do to get better SLs.
1. You have to know your 3 FICO scores.
2. If there are any negatives on your CRs, work on getting those fixed.
3. Make sure you pay your CC bill on time every month because one 30-day late can be catastrophic.
4. If someone can add you as an AU to a high-limit, low UT prime CC, that will help.
5. Keep UT on your CCs low.
6. If you don’t belong to a CU, now may be a good time to join one.
7. Check Discover prequal and see if there are any offers.
Now if you want to provide DPs, we can offer more suggestions.
