Sorry to hear about your experience with Cap 1. Have you considered the BoA Travel Rewards? It sounds like a pretty solid choice to me, if the points are valued as 1 cent like the other travel cards.
Yes I have. Thats a high option too
Discover Miles has some strict UW.. So OP EQ(most likely) has to support it probably > 750 with low inquiries. Not enough app seen to be more precise what criteria is for approval. Unless they have toned it down yet. Even the Citi DC is a good all around card

I know it's not technically a "travel" card but I would consider a PC to QS. QS makes a great travel card: 1.5% CB, CB instantly posts, easy redemption, Visa Signature benefits, and no FTF. And they are now issuing them with chips. I am planning on PC'ing my V1 to a QS after my 0% APR expires.Everyone has suggested PCing to the QS but my desire to leave CapOne supersedes the benefits it may have and justfies the new account. I wanna deal with lenders who will work with me and CapOne just doesn't. Every time its a headache. And my Venture is still pretty new so my AAoA wont take that huge a hit
Then the Discover Miles is a good card that is very similar to QS.
Great. Then its between that or the CSP. I can't think of anything else besides the BofA travel rewards or the Amex Blue Sky.
Regarding CSP - have you done the math to determine if you have the spend to justify the AF? After year one, many people find the CSP is not really worth it. The exception being big spenders/heavy travelers/etc. If you are able to justify it that's fine, I just wanted to point that out.
I've heard of people PCing from the CSP to just the non-preferred CS once the AF is due. Is that still a viable option?

Double Cash isn't the loosest underwriting either. Tons of low limits and high APRs on here with people with good credit. Even VERY good credit!
Honestly I don't get why OP doesn't just PC to QS if they want the Discover Miles as it's ostensibly the same thing but to each their own.
OP - don't count on a PC to the CS as a way to get out of the CSP AF. While it is currently possible, the CS is discontinued. There's no guarantee the option will exist forever (in fact I'm quite sure it won't since the CS no longer exists to apply for). If you are looking to get out of the AF already, IMO, save yourself time and don't get a CSP. You won't be able to justify it.
How much of your travel (or even general spend) is international? If FTF isn't an issue, after the first year something like Citi DoubleCash will beat Discover Miles

You guys are gung ho about the QS
am I missing something? Heck I got approved for one and closed it the day I got it in the mail Maybe I could've kept it and used with the VentureOne? Idk

I'm gung ho because you don't seem to be someone who is going to spend enough to justify a CSP and I'm trying to save you a headache down the road. As I explained before, the Venture One has no advantage over the QS so using them together is not really beneficial.

Ok, I'll definitely have to do some math to justify it then, I'll already have two other $95 AF cards after I PC my Delta Sky Amex and Citi AAdvantage, I think that's enough
Some people just hate Cap1, me being one of them.. So OP probably has their reason.. Anyways, I personally love the Freedom/CSP combo. It really comes down to how much you are going to spend on it...
Anyways best of luck OP whatever you choose.
