Double Cash isn't the loosest underwriting either. Tons of low limits and high APRs on here with people with good credit. Even VERY good credit!
Honestly I don't get why OP doesn't just PC to QS if they want the Discover Miles as it's ostensibly the same thing but to each their own.
OP - don't count on a PC to the CS as a way to get out of the CSP AF. While it is currently possible, the CS is discontinued. There's no guarantee the option will exist forever (in fact I'm quite sure it won't since the CS no longer exists to apply for). If you are looking to get out of the AF already, IMO, save yourself time and don't get a CSP. You won't be able to justify it.
You guys are gung ho about the QS
am I missing something? Heck I got approved for one and closed it the day I got it in the mail Maybe I could've kept it and used with the VentureOne? Idk
I'm gung ho because you don't seem to be someone who is going to spend enough to justify a CSP and I'm trying to save you a headache down the road. As I explained before, the Venture One has no advantage over the QS so using them together is not really beneficial.
You're right, I just need something to pay for travel extras (cars and hotels) and the occasional shopping trip. CSP might not be worth it. But its really imporant for me to get away from CapOne, so if I stayed, I would just keep the Venture and ot expect much from them customer service wise
If you really, really want away from Capital One there's no point to keeping the Venture One over a Discover Miles or Citi Double Cash. The latter two are more flexible and free options.
So its between the Discover Miles and BofA Travel
maybe this is weird but I'm really into cards that are branded as travel cards, which is why I dont't wanna consider the QS or DC. I'll do more research and keep everyone updated

Yes but you need to understand that many of the "branded as travel cards" with fixed redemption like BOA Travel, Arrival+, Venture, are simply marketing. There is nothing advantageous about them over a plain old QS or DC because the latter options offer you the same redemption options plus redeeming for whatever you want. There is no magical hidden "travel" benefit to the Venture One etc.
If you really want a card that's branded as travel go for it, but the fixed ones really hold no advantage over a cash back card (after first year bonuses).

This is gonna sound silly.....but I hated the way it looked. And I wasn't too crazy about the $500 limit
You can (at least, at the moment) customize the Quicksilver with any image. So the way it looks is not really relevant. The newer QS with the chip is supposedly much nicer looking anyway. They claim they will offer the Image Card thing eventually with the chipped cards, but who knows.
At the end of the day, I'd rather have an ugly QS with 1.5% cashback than a (possibly) good looking Venture One with 1.25% only towards travel. But to each their own.

Yes, as has been said in multiple threads, you can take any of these real cashback cards (Fid Amex, DC, QS etc) and redeem it only against travel if you wish. The only travel thing is the no-FTF, which the QS also has.
OK, so KDM and LTL start the "Luxury Card" It earns 1% on ALL purchases, but these earnings can only be redeemed against purchases from a set of "luxury" stores. No restricted sales dates, buy anything from any of these stores and you can redeem your credits for them!!!!
After reading enough Venture/Arrival type posts, with good marketing there would be a market for such a card!

QuickSilver can have a 500 starting limit? I thought it was either 3,000 or 5,000?
I think it was the lower teired MC with an AF, that was another reason why I closed it
