I posted this yesterday on another post. I was approved for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card at 5/24 on February 5, 2018. My last CC approval was 8/2017 for the Citi AA CC. The next two year anniversary isn't until July, 2018. Three days before I applied online, I was at 7/24, Discover and AmEX had just celebrated two years back with me. Chase was an instant approval of SCL: $15.7K with an APR of 16.24% and the first 15 months billing cycles at 0%.

Can anyone confirm the opposite, that store cards do not count for 5/24 as the old DOC link states?
If the card is an internal store charge card and does not report to any of the 3 CRAs then it will not count towards 5/24 because Chase can't 'see' the card. Howerver if they are typical store cards such as Lowes, Amazon (store version), Home Depot, etc, etc, that are normal revolving credit accounts which report, then yes they count towards 5/24.
When I last spoke with a Chase CSR, I was told they count only Chase credit cards. Of course she could be wrong.
I think there is a lot of mis-information here. Chase has some internal guideline, but we do not know what the computer is programmed with. It is just very hard to imagine the 5/24 rule is so broads and includes all credit cards, mortgages, loans (vehicle, boat etc.) and even AUs. I just do not know. If the 5/24 counts all the above, then a lot of folks probably can't get the pre-qualification.

Definitely they do not count only Chase cards. They count all 'revolving' credit cards so mortgages, personal loans, boats etc are installment loans and they do not count. AU accounts for credit card revolving accounts are included. However, as many people haave found out, you can still be prequalified either in branch or via the online account even if you are over 5/24 so clearly they have flexibility with their 'rule'
