Myjourney.. tomorrow is your big day.  Farming season over.  Plz let us know if you decided to increase # of cards or LCI?  And how many bullets ( INQ ) you took.

Thx

ROFLOL

This will be the first time in a year and a half I won't be doing a spree Lol

Surprised Huh me too Smiley LOL

I have all the cards I need and will wait until 12/31/13-1/1/14 ( new years eve) to app Chase Ink and maybe a Amex for backdating

(2013) I went 8 for 8

All of next years INQ's will be saved for Bonuses or if some new card comes out with great rewards ....

Not trying to call you out MyJourney, but you seem to have a strategy, so I'm interested in hearing you and others elaborate on it.

So my  questions are:

How many HPs are you willing to take per year and especially, how many are you willing to take once you've done several app sprees?

It seems like some card will always be offering a great bonus, so once my score reaches prime land I'm interested in seeing how you guys work this out.

BTW, personally not apping for anything for a while since I'm trying to get some CLIs on my Chase, Cap1, & Barlcay.

Re: Strategy for Bonuses vs. Number of INQ

Unless you have a pressing need for a CLI (you are frequently having to pay off the card several times or a cycle, or utilization issues are keeping your score low), then getting cards with bonuses is a much better use of HPs IF you consider them a limited resource.

CLIs have very little value, a $400 bonus is worth $400....

true and personally I'm not shooting for anything to crazy as far as limits go.  I actually think limits on a couple of cards (mainly Chase and Barlcay) in the 3-5000 range would be quite adequate for what I spend.  I would like to see higher limits for my business cards though.  In my business it's not hard 5 figures in a day on a campaign.

Do you have a set number of you're willig to have reporting at any given time?  Do you use that as a timeline as when to apply for a bonus card?
