Student to Regular Cards

Hi all,

What have your experiences been like with converting student cards to regular cards of the same kind? Do APRs or CLs change at all? Or is it more of a cosmetic thing?

Cards: CitiForward for Students (2K, opened 8/2009), Discover it (2K, opened 7/2010), AMEX BCE (1k, opened 12/2010), Capital One Quicksilver (4.5k, opened 11/2011), Chase Freedom (1.5k, opened 8/2014)

AMEX Platinum (NPSL, AC arrangement, added 12/2011), Citi AAdvantage AMEX (9k, AU, backdated to 9/2008)

Scores: TU 667, EQ 651

In the Garden since 8/8.

Re: Student to Regular Cards

Not really sure, but from reading things here, most of the time they ask you to apply for the card again..

I'm sure theres someone here who knows better though.

Re: Student to Regular Cards

I've read on here some members wrote that they were able to product change from a BoA student card to cash reward card. I haven't seen posts about other banks, just BoA.

Re: Student to Regular Cards

Bump with a related question:

How long do CCC's give you to either close a student card or PC it on your own before they do so themselves?
