I applied and this is what happened:

If you don't mind me asking, can you provide a brief run down on what your CR looks like? What other TL's you have, any derogs, age of accounts, how old your newest (previous to USAA) account was?

Sorry for the temporary threadjack, but I just want to clarify membership. My father is 67 and was an MP in the army many moons ago. Would he qualify for membership, and then as his daughter I could qualify?

Yes, keithc, I think you can, depending on how long ago you separated. USAA keeps changing its eligibility around, but here's the current version:

Did your father retire? It appears there are some date ranges which are listed if not retired: "separation after on or after January 1, 1996."
I separated in October 2005, but was all ready with USAA because of my wife (daughter of warrant officer). So, I had insurance with them (still do).
However, when we log in, I do notice that I am the "spouse" of the member and not showing as a member on my own. I tried to "join" but when I entered my SSN it said my "access is restricted" and to call the 800 number. So, I am going to call and see what my actual status is.
