I just got off the phone with chase for a reconsideration on a CLI after being turned down yesterday. I made strong points on how I need chase to grow with me and take into account the heavy turnover on my AMEX card and its CL. After talking her ear off for about 5 minutes, she agreed to double the CL to 3K!!!
Just wanted to encourage people to make the most of your hard inquiry and give them a call!!! What do you have to loose?
I was initially turned down because my AMEX account showed 80%utilization( one day overlap from being updated to only 50%) and lots of credit inquiries. Chase seems to want to stick to the "every 6 months thing" Again, I recommend giving them a call using the back D number!!
