Last year around the same time I got this card- US bank Altitude Connect just for the SUB as it was $500. But I was able to use many of its features such as Global Entry Fee, Streaming credit and some rewards (worth of $75). However, I don't use this card for the last 6 months and its sitting in my drawer. SL was not good on this card which I dont know why, but I somehow managed to meet the spending for the SUB back then. From the beginning I was never intended to keep this card beyond a year as its not worth of AF of $95 to my needs...besides, I got it just for the SUB.
However, my whole perception on this card changed on this February when US bank increased CL on it to extremely high on my request which was kinda unusual. So obviously, I changed my mind and decided to keep the card beyond a year just because of its CL, but was not comfortable to pay $95 for its AF. But I was not too worried about it until 2-3 months back because I knew that I could always convert this card to another card of no AF...and this way I would be able to keep such a higher CL, but my hopes seemed doomed when I read two cases on here and 4 cases on other sites wherein people were denied to have product changed of this card. At that moment I realized that USbank seems like to have changed their policy on it and now doesnt allow product change on this card.
Nevertheless, it was a good day today. I called and spoke with the agent. Rep said that she knows 3 people who were able to do product change of this card just yesterday which gave me some glimpse of hope....but didnt want to think anything at that point because she said that she is going to transfer my call to credit dept and they will decide if its possible on my account. I was surprised that Credit dept was open today on weekend. Very nice lady came up online...I explained to her what I am looking for...she put me on hold for a few minutes and came back to tell me that my account is eligible to do product change to either Cash+ or Altitude Go...but she also made the comment that she has herself done product change on her card to Cash+ because of many other features...So, I told her that I am in as well. After a few minutes later she said that I am all set...and that I will get another card with different account number. Thought to share this dp out there to let concerned people know that product change of this card is still going on...
Congratulations on your product change and cli. I'm glad someone has been successful with these folks. They had offered a product change to me for the go. I really was interested in the reserve and they said no go. Originally I had gotten this card in hopes of eventually changing to the reserve. I also wanted it as a replacement for my venture card with a 24k limit. With us bank, I cannot get past the 5k mark.
A few months ago, bureaus locked, I requested a cli. Looking at annual credit report, they had done a sp. They denied me because bureaus are locked. Today, I look on annual report again. Sp usb, 6/28. Requested a cli, got a notice the report is froze and unable to perform.
Not sure what it takes with these people. One of my lowest limit cards and opened with 820 fico at the time.
I'm now at 1/6..2/12 and 3/24. Theirs is 11 months old. I have some big spend coming up. Considering wells, boa, or possibly the bcu train people have been talking about. That still leaves me under 5/24 for a chase card later down the road.
Not sure why lenders can be so difficult. But, it is what it is. Congratulations on your victory. I'm glad someone got what they wanted from them.

I have Altitude Go card as well with US bank....and I remember that when I requested first time a CLI on that card, it got denied and said that a letter will be sent out to detail the reason. I was shocked because I had a very good spending on that card, and I also knew that they could not possibly have checked my credit reports to know what was going on with my other accounts with other lenders because all my credit reports were frozen....I anxiously waited for the letter and when letter arrived then I found out that it was rejected because US bank wanted the access of my credit report in order to consider my request for CLI...I was surprised because long-timers, including some mods on here were saying to some members to freez reports before asking for CLI, and some people were said to be able to get CLI this way then why not me..I was not ready for a HP...I even posted on here my dilemma at that time.
I thought very hard for many days as to what to do, and finally realized that US bank would not give me any CLI without doing a HP...and since I had no choice because I did need the CLI badly...I mean, why to let go the opportunity to have it, anyway. So, I finally unfroze my credit reports and requested CLI online. Believe it or not, I got instantly approved for $5k and without a HP....Since then I always have kept my credit reports unfrozen whenever I sought out CLI...and each time I have received $5k CLI instantly without any HP...and now I am at $25k.....I know why you are so skeptical when they have refused to consider your request for CLI without you thaw your credit reports...I was in the same situation with the same though...but there was never a HP, though....So, you may choose to do the same what I did. My SL was $4.5k only. A wise man on here once said- What would it damage by burning an inquiry as there are tons to burn anyway.....You should give al this a thought. I wish you all the best....

I was 3/12 when I got approved for 2 US bank cards....but then its YMMY kinda thing....However, best is not to have more than 2/12.
Congrats @Janneman , glad you were able to change to the Cash+, and thanks for sharing your experience. I've been hoping to PC to the Reserve when I get to the 1 year mark, as I've seen DP's about people still getting the sub even though it's a PC. Still wonder if the available PC options for each ccustomer is unique to each account or a system-wide policy thing.
Also, eventually you run into US Bank's TCL ceiling, or just max exposure per customer. Once I hit 95k total with US Bank (Elan products are included), the most recent attempt for a SP on my Cash+, while following my usual 7 month cli schedule, resulted in an HP and denial. So if they don't allow a Connect --> Reserve PC, then I think I'll be out of luck unless I close a card.
Wasn't aware of total exposure of US bank that included any account with Elan's Financial as well, but I have many accounts with Elan too and I am sure my total exposure for US bank cards and Elan's cards are more than $100k, but so far I got no HP...Maybe, I got slipped away by mistaken ???
If you know that some people are able to do PC from Connect to Reserve and still be able to get SUB then you should go for it when you would be eligible to make such request. If an agent would deny you, then just hang up nicely and called back a few hours later to speak with another one until you get the one who will accommodate your request.
