Synchrony Amazon Blacklist

I think I am blacklisted from Amazon/Synchrony... In October I will be 2 years post BK7 - Amazon and Walmart were both included. I knew I had to take the chance since Amazon doesn't do a pre-qual. Instant denial... reason: prior unsatisfactory obligation with us. So clearly almost two years later does not help. I have heard Sync can go either way. Looks like I'm on the outs with them. The good thing is it doesn't look like they pulled a CR so at least no HP. Looks like I should just keep working my rebuild and maybe try again next year.

Oh that's too bad OP. I don't know if it's possible with Synchrony, nor the success rate, but I also advise to recon a denial. Good luck if you do!

I have surprisingly had good luck with synchrony post bk. I included a lowes card in my BK7 d/c'd 12/15. I was told by a rep of lowes customer service rep that I would be elg to re establish an account in 2 years. However, I have a credit account now that's about 6 months old. With a decent limit. So, it really just depends. I also have several other synchrony accounts. Idk if that makes any difference

It took me a few years to get another Walmart card after filing BK. Target as well

I always find it interesting (and a little annoying) how different everyones situations with approvals and denials are. So far I haven't seen an inquiry pop up on my reports so maybe after I hit my 2 years I'll try again. I have hopes that eventually I'll get back in with Amazon. Thanks for the replies.

I definitely agree that everyone's mileage does vary greatly.... what has your rebuilding been like thus far? Have you been able to get any Synchrony accounts? I think my first Synchrony account post bk7 was Amazon or Old Navy But I had not included them previously. But once I got in with Sync, I just applied for others.
