To my surprise my Synchrony Amazon Prime card was cancelled this week. The reason being that my autopay was linked to a closed amount and the payment bounced back. My frustration lies in that I made an on time payment this month, it was the extra (second payment) auto pay for the min balance that triggered the cancellation.
Unfortunately, the odds of a reversal are going to be slim-to-none.
You can try writing a letter and addressing it to Margaret Keane describing the circumstances of your mistake and how you'll make sure there isn't a repeat. She most likely wouldn't see it personally but one of her staff will, and you really don't have much to lose beyond the cost of the stamp.
Some issuers are more forgiving than others of a missed payment but it's not unusual to have 2 returned payments lead to an account closure.

Margaret is no longer the CEO and she also got CLD She's still on the BOD, though.
In this situation, writing a letter will be a futile effort since SYNCB has not been known to reverse such decisions.

I have had the card for two years and had a 10k limit, my Trans FICO8 is 764 and I spend between 2-3k a month, always paying in full each month.I have had auto pay linked to a closed bank account for almost a year but this issue never came up because it always asks me if I want to cancel autopay when I schedule a payment. This month it either didn't prompt me or I was in a rush and didn't cancel it.Synchrony said their policy is that if a payment is returned twice (they tried to pull the returned pay a second time) the card is canceled. This is understandable, but I made my monthly statement payment from the account I pay from each month. Is there any way to get this reversed? I applied for an appeal but the manager I spoke with said she has never seen a card reinstated. My card was canceled over an extra payment of $29.I'm frustrated because I use the card and like the 5% cash back. I know there is an AMEX Prime and Chase Prime. Neither are a good fit. I spend 30k a month on two AMEX charge cards for business and I'm at close to the spending limit prior to a review. I have too many inquiries for Chase.Any suggestions are appreciated.
Are you sure Chase Amazon Prime falls under the Chase 5/24 rule? It might be worth checking on that. My understanding is the chances of getting a closed Synchrony account reopened is about equal to winning the lottery, or so I have been told.

It does. There was a time a long while ago where it was one of those that didn't, but that has gone
I will look into the the 5/24 rule applies. On the Chase end of things... When I was a kid 12 years ago I had a Chase card canceled do to non-payment. It has long fallen off my now clean record. Will this closed account show up in Chase's records? I believe the account was closed 12-13 years ago.

Chase will almost certainly have a record of this. (They track adverse relationships with banks that they acquire as well, which causes trouble for people who never knowingly burnt Chase!)
I paid Chase in full, but have avoided ever applying for another card. I am a co-signer on my wife's Chase credit card.

It's important to distinguish between co-signer and authorized user. Chase does not offer joint credit card accounts, and you have no financial responsibility for the account. Unlike Amex which will often deny an authorized user based upon their own past history with Amex, Chase does not appear to have this policy. As mentioned, Chase has a very long memory including for acquired banks. There are reports of being being denied for new accounts or credit line increases even for unsatisfactory WaMu accounts that were closed decades ago. It doesn't mean this will definitely be the case in your situation, but it's important to consider that it may happen.
