I'm really on the fence about a 3rd party having my financial infomration; however, I have a balance on my Walmart card that I wouldn't be able to pay off until next month. I shop at Wal-Mart for everything so they are the reason I am leaning on sending the information.
I have the following Synchrony cards:
Shash - $25K Limit ... I think I have a $4K balance
Ebates - $4800 .. I think I had like a $150 balance (easy pay off and close)
Care Credit - $1000 Limit..I think I had like a $500 from my pet visit last month (I can pay that off and close.....It does come in handy with my dog
)
Walmart - $25K Limit..I think I had a like a $3K balance...my mom put some spending on it so I'm trying to get that down
Amazon - $5000 Limit..I think i had like a $500 balance..(easy pay off and close....I love my Amazon card though)
Lowes - $35K Limit...I think I have a like a $8 balance from a purchase I recently made (easy pay off...I was planning to look for home next year so I had this card for this exact reason)
Funny, I dont think my JCPenny card is closed. That one has a $5000 limit but no balance.
After reading through the forum...looks like it could go either way for this letter.
just my .02 but the only individuals that get tax data are mortgage lenders. I dont know much outside of amex and chase but I do have nfcu and penfed cards and i can never understand people with good cards like you obviously have with good lines would want to drop down to the likes of sync and store cards. said it a million times, if one does not do an advance or carry a balance the chances of anything happening are nil. imo. if you send in forms and your income does not match your card apps you already know what is in store. good luck with whatever you do, you seem to be on the level so it sucks but balance carry is more risk, aside from the fact its a feature of the card.
Personally it would be a cold day in hell before I provide my information to a 3rd party, not because I have something to hide but becauese it's NO ONES business.
I have submitted my information, I remember Google locked me out and forced me to send them my ID and Passport via email. I also have no problem with AMEX, DISCOVER or BofA but
Synchrony Lexis Nexus .....Forget it

Hey leave me out of it JR
Lol AJC!
The thing is, even if you sign and return that Blue Envelope of Death, there’s still no guarantee that they’ll reinstate your accounts! So again, my reply would be, “No can do Average Joe”! Lol
- So how ‘bout that AJC? Sounds better? ![]()

+1
Ordinarily in times only a few years ago that would not be any issue with them before.
BUT, these days and especially the past year or so synchrony looks to be cracking down on THAT many cards from them with one cardholder so it explains perfectly why they came down like that.
It's one of the reasons i dropped a couple of their cards i used quite often and liked a lot last year after reading a few posts of multiple synchrony cards where things went sour for those folks.
That being said, and depending on which way you go on this, it might be a good idea should you decide to go through with it to pull some of those out but either way wish you to see this resolved to your satisfaction.
It happened to me as well. One day, I couldn't log on and then the letter came. I signed and sumitted the 4506-T. It took about 10-14 days to process. Luckily, they reopened all 4 accounts (no balances on any of them) with no changes on my credit limits. Good luck to whatever you decide to do.
