Re: Synchrony Total Exposure

Interesting after reading all the post about hitting ceiling. I guess I will never come close. And frankly. Don't need anymore. I have 25k with sync. Good enough for anything and everything I'll ever need. 10k PayPal MasterCard. 10k Walmart. And 5k ebates visa. Good enough. Comenity. Let me see hmmm about. 22k exposure. I need a new lender I guess.

congrats on all that CA.. Im not too far away from ceiling either (think I'm around $60k, so Ive got some wiggle room still), and next year Im looking at closing 5 of the cards, just to trim down.

It is a wake call for everyone.

Ron.

+1.  It's possible to go beyond 100k but not through a manual review by credit solutions because their max exposure is 100k.  I've been told that by 3 credit solutions people now.   If you go beyond 100k is on approval for another card.   Moving credit around doesn't guarantee they will increase the credit on the other card, as they'll tell you that they will have to review the request after you've reduced a limit on another card.   Ron you've had experience with this which is corroborated by my conversations with credit solutions.

It means they require income return if total exposure limit goes over $100K. Credit Analyst has the right to reduce CL or close all or some of the accounts at their discretion. Lexis Nexis will do FR for SYNCB. So your 4506T will become public record.

Re: Synchrony Total Exposure

So with my recent Barclay CLD I decided to take up Sync and TJX on my $8k that was approved the other day if I reduced my exposure... to my shock after about 15 minutes on hold she came back and said my exposure does not allow it unless I reduce limits...

I said I closed almost $14k the other day and I'm only trying to go up $4400.

She said your exposure is still to high.

I asked what it was.

She said I can't give you that information.

I said you are kidding right, they are all my accounts, do I need to get a calculator out to get my total exposure that you have on a screen in front of you?!

She paused for a long moment and says "it's OVER $100k"

I said does that include business?

She just said "it includes all accounts in your name with Sync.

I said then I want to CLOSE this card instead of CLI

She seemed shocked by that since I just asked for CLI.

I said I need to get my total exposure down because I like other cards much more than this card.

So I closed TJX.

I'm considering closing Ebay too now since Ebates actually overlaps and is better!

Sorry to hear CA.  This is more proof that Synchrony is watching.  So all those who wonder why people close some Synchrony accounts please read this message from CA again and again.

Re: Synchrony Total Exposure

I'm sure their computers keep tabs on us. But I'm more interest in the cld. Smiley Happy which card and how much was the cld. Hehehe. Ca knows his exposure is high. I guess it proves it counts business as well. I heard Ron 1 say this the other day.

Re: Synchrony Total Exposure

These are on the block for me.

JCP $7,500
Home Design $12,000
Lumber Liquidators $3,500

Keeping:
Sam's Club MC $10,000
Amazon $10,000
Lowes $17,000
TJX MC $5,000 (for now)
Care Credit $8,500

That'll keep me at $50K leaving room to grow
