Perhaps I'm being slightly paranoid yet as a heads up I'll briefly explain.
Called the number on back of my Cathay Pacific card on Friday to waive my AF which was successful. I haven't used the card in six months. This morning get a text about possible fraudulent charges. Upon checking my account there were six unauthorized charges from some bogus European website. Called the Synchrony fraud department to receive a new card. That was a story for a another day.
Maybe a pure coincidence, then again.
I would say coincidence.
If it is not a coincidence, are you suggesting that Sync made (or allowed) the authorized charges??
With Synchrony one never knows, case in point in 2015 my Chevron card was replaced 3 times in short order. I even had fraudulent charges on one of those replacements before I got the card and activated it... I closed it soon after.

Only suggesting it's very odd that using the card only twice for a couple packs of gum over six months ago and now fraudulent activities combined with a call to Synch's call center.
I also received a text today stating a package can't be delivered to me from the USPS with a suspicious link from country code 63 (Phillipines).
Not drawing any conclusions just mentioning possibilities. In call centers many eyes can see your info.
